LSE stands for ‘Leadership and Social Entrepreneurship’, the two cornerstones of an empowerment program for Filipino migrants and overseas workers offered by the Ateneo School of Government (ASOG), the graduate school of leadership and public service of the Ateneo de Manila University.

 

The Leadership and Social Entrepreneurship (LSE) Training Program wants overseas Filipino workers to view themselves as agents of positive transformation, prepare for financial security upon retirement and / or reintegration in the Philippines, and run businesses that are not only financially sound but also beneficial for the greater good of the community. 

 

The LSE Basic Course run for (nearly) six months and consists of 12 full-day sessions. Each area comprises four sessions. Two of the financial literacy sessions are conducted online. Students will be asked to develop and present their business plan.

 

Modules, output: Leadership (4 sessions), Financial Literacy (4 sessions), Social Entrepreneurship (4 sessions), Business plan development and presentation

Who is this course for?

 

LSE is open for all Filipinos working or residing in the Netherlands. A business background is not required. What is necessary is that you have a real desire and commitment to:

 

  • prepare or improve your financial security

  • run businesses that are not only financially sound but also beneficial for the greater good of the community, and;

  • become agents of positive transformation in your communities.

 

Or you can relate to one or more of the following situations:

 

  • You want to invest in yourself by honing your business skills and harnessing your potential as a social entrepreneur

  • You already have business experience but now want to venture into social entrepreneurship

  • You have a business idea -- or want to develop one -- and want to test its feasibility or create a business plan for it

  • You want to learn to manage your finances better

  • You want to improve your leadership skills

Program fee

 

The program fee is € 60 (full payment upon registration or 50% upon registration, 50% on the 1st day). You can course you payment throug the Secretariat or via bank transfer to FC Almodiel Luteijn: NL24 INGB 0670 9664 3.

 

The program fee covers basic expenses such as logistics costs (i.e. venue rental, coffee/tea, disposable cups), honorarium for speakers, office supplies, graduation expenses, printing costs for marketing and communication materials, etc.
